Handcrafted and layered collage. This work represents how we ,often times, guard ourselves to the outside world. The inertia of silence, of protecting our hearts and feelings are illustrated by the different layers covering the woman, leaving only her eyes visible. The mixed media piece keeps a subtle monochromatic palate with bold color accent to emphasize such concept.
