From the Ashes
My mixed media work titled “From the Ashes” is a four-panel composition. The allure of this work is that the individual panels can be hung in a variety of combinations and configurations. Each of the 22’ X 22’ panels are crafted of colorful vinyl fabric, secured to painted OSB board and mounted on painted steel frames. The motivation of the work is the revitalization of a community, large or small, not unlike the city of Detroit. From the ashes and decay comes new hope, new growth and new opportunities.
